Here’s what happens on Sundays at Good Samaritan

We have all walked into a church for the first time. We know it can be intimidating, unfamiliar, and you might worry you’ll stand out. Don’t worry, we are excited to meet you, have people ready to get you (and your kids, if you are bringing any) settled, and will give you everything you need to follow along and participate in our service.

Worship Service Schedule

In the time of COVID, we have been doing our best to structure our worship services in a safe, healthy manner. Through the spring and summer, we had services exclusively online using Facebook Live. In August 2020, we moved to outdoor services with limited attendance, and now we are inviting people back to building for in-person services.

9:00 am – In-person spoken Eucharist service with no music.
10:30 am – In-person Eucharist service with music, also live-streamed on Facebook.

Registration

Registration will be required to attend in person. Choose the date on the calendar to fill out the registration form the week before.

The Episcopal Tradition

We are an Episcopal Church, which means that we are rooted in an ancient tradition, expressed today in our modern context. Our liturgy—the form and pattern of our worship service—comes from the ancient church and has found new ways of being practiced in every age, including today, and provides space to reflect on life, find peace, and encounter God’s presence. When you arrive, you’ll receive a bulletin with all the prayers, readings, songs for the service, as well as notes about when to do things like stand up (we tend to do that a lot in the Episcopal Church).

Christian Formation for All Ages

Along with worship on Sunday mornings, we have opportunities for people of all ages to explore faith and grow in faith. In person, we offered classes for all ages, from 4 years old through adulthood.

During the era of COVID-19, we are still figuring out the best ways to provide spiritual formation opportunities for our parish and the community. Much of our programming has gone online, but it is still a work in progress. If you would like more information about online formation opportunities, please contact:
