Liturgical Arts Liturgical Arts is the newest of our ministries. It began last spring when a group of artists observed Lent by designing, planning, and executing beautiful renderings of The Stations of the Cross. Done in Mosaic glass, they are 4th century style, floating in contemporary wooden frames. Please stop to see them.
The group's next project is the design and artistic rendering of an abstract resurrection scene on our reredos (wall behind the altar.) This project will begin in January and will likely take a year or longer to complete. If you would like to be involved in this project, please contact our resident artist, Cheryl Smith, at toddcs@earthlink.net.
In the past, our artists have designed, carved, and built exclusive crosses, a pulpit, our tabernacle, and other sacred furnishings for our nave and Sunday school rooms. This year, John Mueller will be building a new altar for our beautiful worship space. For more information about this project, contact John at johnmueller57@comcast.net.
