Congregational Care
At Good Samaritan, we take the care of our congregation very seriously. If you are having a pastoral emergency, or are in need of a pastoral visit, please go to the "contact us," tab, or the "clergy and staff" page, under "About Us." From there, you will be directed in ways to reach a priest.
Church Nursery for Young Children
We first began Pastoral Care with young children. Our nursery is staffed with volunteers. Located in the cry room, adjacent to both the Narthex and the Nave, the nursery is a place where parents are always near-by. Parents may also stay in the nursery with their children, and there are speakers which bring the service to those who find this helpful.
All persons, both volunteer and paid staff, who work with children and youth, are trained in Safe Guarding God's Children, a program to prevent sexual mis-conduct.
Prayer Chain This group of parishioners set aside regular time to pray for the needs and intentions of fellow parishioners, their families and friends. For more information, please contact Ruth Nevin ruthnevin@comcast.net
Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Visitors
Eucharistic Ministers and Visitors are lecensed lay-persons who take the Holy Eucharist to those who are not able to come to church, or just make a pastoral call. Recommended by the clergy and licensed by the Bishop, we invite any who are called to join this group. To join, please contact the Vicar or Vicar Emeritus.
